A lot to like in here. That is Prentice on the lead story, right? Maybe just inking? Some nice work in the Ulmer story, especially the nighttime small-town-streets panels. Was Chic Stone somehow involved in "You Are Not the One"? A very nice cover, too, by JVJ-knows-who.

Eddie proposes again and breaks up with her when Ellen refuses again. Ellen dates wealthy Roger and allows him to believe she’s from a prominent family although her parents are actually poor. When Ellen's father falls ill, Roger’s family learns the truth and he rejects her. Ellen reconciles with Eddie and they’ll live on his salary.

Pearl tells Connie that she’s secretly engaged to Warren, which is a lie, and Warren soon finds out. Pearl accepts her aunt’s job offer. She realises she was like a selfish child herself. Lew shows up and Pearl realizes she loves him.
