NotesA popular British comic annual of the '40's and '50's. Artists featured include Bang, Protheroe, Ron, and etc. Unfortunately not all the strips were signed by the artists, but all featured regularly from year to year in G.G.Swan's comic annuals, contributing to the distinctive 'look' of the annuals' contents. Published using cheap paper and inks maintained a low cover price, beneficially influencing sales and distribution just after the War. Occasionally, (as here), a few single good quality paper and ink pages were inserted, and given over to the work of the more talented cartoonists in their employ. Bang is an example of one who's work was often displayed on these choice pages.

Another absolute gem from Swan-THANKS Melbee!

Excellent, and apart from some lovely Harry Banger strips, there's a complete Phantom Raider story.
