Alicia moves out and Dick breaks up with Carla. A grateful patient gives Carla a check for $5000 but instead of using as “an escape hatch from a lonely existence that had become unbearable,” she donates it to medical research. Dick learns of this and takes Carla back.

Julia confesses her errors to Mrs. Ditmark and she reunites Lance and Julia.

With Vince gone, Amy’s father decides to sell the farm. He returns and introduces Amy to the new owner: Vince. Amy and Vince will be married.
