After Bill departs, Vina takes a job at the factory to turn her self-centered life around. When Bill comes home on leave, they reconcile.

However, after Gwen’s little sister is injured in an accident, Roger learns the truth and says he understands Gwen’s family responsibilities come first. He promises to accommodate her schedule and remain her boyfriend.

Kit is constantly reminded of how lively Leslie was, and tries to emulate her in order to keep her new husband. This has the wrong effect, but in the end Kit realizes she must be herself and Chris loves her for it.
