Broadcast songs from yesteryear by the old stars of the 'wireless'. How many do you know? (Or will admit to knowing... ) Perhaps this booklet was given away with a particular issue of the weekly Radio Fun comic? There is more information about this book at the bottom of the page

All of these songs are British pop songs of the 1937-38 period. Most are obscure, even among UK songs. Only a few even got issued in the United States--most notably "Gangway!" (title song from a Jessie Matthews picture) and "Home Town", (which is the only one that got some covers in the USA).
Just as "Radio Fun" featured comics and stories based on well-known (to UK audiences) entertainers, so this book's songs are associated with well-known entertainers and/or bandleaders.

It's been up for years and I just discovered this treasure. I recognize most of the performers but none of the songs. I'll have to fire up my steam piano and try them out. My present favorite is the touching ditty "I'm Knitting a Singlet for Cecil."

I don't recognise any of the songs, although I should as I'm a Crazy Gang fan. I see Tommy Handley broadcast the first one. He's good. If you can find "Time Flies" you might chuckle. He's a right chancer and sort of wide boy. ITMA from the radio is great fun and there is a movie version on you tube.
