The final indignation came at an assembly where Shiela made Claire look the fool. When Claire ran out of the auditorium, mortified, Larry caught up with her to tell her that he knew what Shiela had done and that it didn't matter since she was the one he loved.

When Eve finally found him she learned that not only had he been faithful to her, he had a job and worked to keep slum kids off the street. Admitting she was wrong, she ran to his arms and asked him to forgive her.

When Bobby learned all of this, he ran to Sally's house to tell her that the reason he was doing this was to please her and dance well for her sake.
