Another great Buck Ryan adventure. Almost an anticipation of Hitchcock's "To catch a thief". There is more information about this book at the bottom of the page

Someone pointed out that this story has elements reminiscent of the Hitchcock movie 'To Catch a Thief' but that film came out in 1955 and this is dated 1953. However, the book 'To Catch a Thief' by David Dodge was published in 1952, so it could well have been an influence. Incidentally, if you you like that kind of story, David Dodge wrote a number of other books which are all of similar standard.

Beauty comes in many forms and an early Buck Ryan strip is one of them. “I aimed at you Buck to make sure I hit her.” “Thanks, Zola”
Panther is right – David Dodge wrote some good thrillers. It’s a shame they’re so hard to get now – even second-hand - yet another victim of the dead hand of copyright. It will be decades before he enters the public domain by which stage he will be mostly forgotten, deprived of his true legacy of memory and respect.

I think HardCase Crime has reprinted some David Dodge titles.
