The Grey Ghosts are one of many hooded, robed, justice seeking, secret societies who inhabited boys' and girls private schools. This version appeared in SPL; Girls' Crystal and the text version of these pocket libraries. The most famous of the groups is The Silent Three, while this one is different being a boys society with a girl becoming a guest member. Stirring stuff - though we must assume that Geraldine had quite a manly voice to go unidentified for so long and a smell not far removed from linseed oil.
The artwork is fantastic - I wonder who it was. The full page panels are particularly impressive. As a bit of a doodler myself, I'm guessing it must have taken at least two-three months to produce this masterpiece - yes, masterpiece, the art deserves that title.

I had the opposite theory...I speculated that though the boys are drawn like older teens, they are actually younger than they loooki and their voices haven't changed yet.
