Thank you FreddieFly. Can't have too much Kerry Drake. Believe it or not, there is a female character here named Gee Gee String. I can see why they needed the comic code. [He said facetiously]

Thanks freddiefly. I woke up early today feeling a bit under the weather and read Kerry Drake – I now feel much, much better. They should give away Kerry Drake comics on the national health. Gee Gee String (arf! arf!) – what a doll! This is a really decent story – could easily be expanded into a movie (with William Powell in the role of Algy, Lana Turner as Gee Gee and Burt Lancaster as Torso!)

Lots of filler in this issue: 10 pages of text stories, house ads, "activities," a Kerry Drake 1949 calendar, etc. Previous issues had a lot as well, but included more short gag-comic stories (like "Snoopy," who gets a half-page only here). Bob Powell's secondary feature "Kitty Carson" (replacing "Man in Black" which replaced "Lady Crime") is its usual 4 pages.
