NotesThis is the final edition of Detective Weekly which came out May 25 1940, written by Stanley Hooper (uncredited). Cancelled due to the paper shortages in the UK during World War 2.
Originally conceived as a replacement title for The Union Jack, It presented a full-length Sexton Blake yarn in every issue. Came in tabloid format approx 10" x 13" in size. The Sexton Blake character was created in 1893 by Harry Blyth under the pen name of Hal Meredeth.
