Thank you, clay1276, for another great upload. A cool sci-fi book from Britain with ... Ditko art!!!
   By crashryan
Several reprints from Charlton's Mysteries of Unexplored Worlds #s 9-10. Many unexpected artists popped up at Charlton in 1957-1958 after the Atlas meltdown, but it's strange indeed to see Gene Colan among the group. Someone else inked "Full Development." I can't figure out who. Compare to "The Good Provider," which shows Colan's distinctive personal ink style. I'd love to know who drew "Saucer-itis." The art is tantalizingly familiar but I just can't put my finger on it. It's kind of sad to see Matt Baker's Charlton work. After so much great earlier work he seems to have lost interest. Being hobbled by Vince Colletta inks doesn't help.

re: Outer Space #3 (UK Comics) The Ditko story printed in B&W looks fantastic. So much of the old Charlton print jobs were 2nd rate. This is a real treat.

The Ditkos are good but for me the highpoint is 'the good provider' which is Gene Colan in Bnw, and likely pencilled and inked by Gene. Inkers usually destroy a lot of his detail, so its good to see what he can really do here. Cheers!
