Too funny--this started life as Quality's Exploits of Daniel Boone #1, but someone, L. Miller I presume, re-lettered the balloons to make it about Dan'l's media competitor Davy. |

In 1955, Davy Crockett - thanks to Disney - was massive. Kids everywhere wanted coonskin hats,
so changing Dan'l Boon to Crockett was just good marketing.
