Artwise this looks like a 'Many hands' job. Wally Wood or Sid Check or both are in there somewhere. And I detect Will Eisner in some panels. Can anybody enlighten us? There appears to be an unreadable signature on the object on which the cat sits. on Page 1. cheers!

The Title page looks like Will Eisner's layout and staging. But the pencil work and inking don't look like from his hand. Could he have drawn the layout storyboards, and other artists done the finishing?

It has the trademark poor draftsmanship of Harry Harrison, Wood's comic book partner of the time. Will Eisner has nothing to do with this. Wood was a disciple of Eisner's work and the first page is done in Eisner's style. Most important--Will Eisner would not have worked for Fox after the 1939 lawsuit he was involved in. Fox is the LAST publisher Eisner would have worked for.

This is interesting! I detect some Wood (or maybe Check?) in the earlier pages but the art gets scrappier as it goes along. Some pages remind me of Jerry Grandenetti's inks, lettering occasionally like Abe Kangeson, I'd even believe some Manny Stallman if anyone found evidence.

I just noticed the signature at the bottom of the last page. It looks like Wood's genuine autograph.

The last page is the second page of the story. Perhaps the only page Wood would attach his name to? From page 3 the art shows much less of his influence. Ye gods, I love a mystery!! :-)
