Always interesting to see which familiar names pop up in these old cartoon collections. Among the contributors here are Art Gates, Jack Markow, Frank Ridgeway, the ubiquitous Vic Martin, and Bob Schoenke, who drew the newspaper strips "Jack Armstrong," "Laredo Crockett," and "Jane Arden." Bob "Frank and Ernest" Thaves also shows up. I suspect this was one of those grab bag titles where rookies made their first sales and established cartoonists sold the gags they couldn't place in better-paying markets. Check out the next-to-last page: those sound suspiciously like the notorious Tijuana Bibles. If so the advertisers were playing with fire. At the time sending porn through the mail was a Federal crime.

'No check or C.O.D. orders accepted. And three different addresses. I wonder if you actually got the product when you sent the cash. How do you spell, SCAM?
