NotesTHE PHANTOM RANGER #36, published by Frew Publications in September 1952 (estimated). This is during the run of the Ranger’s second writer/artist, Peter Chapman. The Phantom Ranger was Frew’s step into publishing its own characters (although this is the Phantom crossed with the Lone Ranger), and had a healthy run of issues in Australia, as well as reprints in England, and a radio serial in Australia. A great Australian success!
