Jungle Stories was a pulp magazine published by Glen-Kel Publishing, a division of Fiction House based in New York, USA. Published quarterly from 1938 to 1954, it ran for a total of 59 issues. Essentially a character pulp, each issue featured a lead novel about Ki-Gor. This character was an imitation of Tarzan, which has caused Jungle Stories to be heavily collected by some Burroughs fans. Ki-Gor however lacked Tarzan's ability to communicate with animals. Each of the covers usually featured a scantily clad girl in a leopard skin costume. |
