Comic Story | White Eagle (16 pages) |
Featuring | Indian Chief White Eagle |
Content | Genre: Western-frontier | Characters: Chief White Eagle (first appearance) |
Notes | Originally credited to Jon Small. The artwork here is, however, identical to the Gollub credited story "Blunt Arrow Boy" in Four Color #290, the first issue in this series. The realistic horses are similar. Small's uses much more black in his inking, also on faces, which are quite different. Gollub's a bit rounder with more visible nostrils, wavy mouth and often smiling, which can also be seen in his credited art in "North to Alaska" Four Color #1155, or in Gene Autry's Champion #5. Gollub's inking is much more sketchy than Small's signed stories in Chief #2, but with lesser black. |
