This seems to be collected newspaper comic strips, given the format of the books. It includes two Captain Atom stories and one story of Jim Stern of The French Foreign Legion. Also check out the ad for "Nigger Boy" licorice pipers!!

Love reading Aussie comics. Thank you for adding this to the site. Hope you have more of Captain Atom?

It is times like this that I wish I knew how to edit pages out, so as to get rid of that terrible add. I have seen worse on the internet, but never in print. Our UK cousins are worse than us. It must be very frustrating to people of color, that no matter how often they prove themselves, some whites will never accept them. Like War, It seems to never end.

I thought I’d take a look at this as I like to share in what others are reading on the site. I was pleasantly surprised by the art – hints of early Steve Ditko I thought. Although I’m not a big super hero fan, I liked Captain Atom and his atomic power. The first story’s multiple image effect was ingenious. The second story has the enchanting Princess Lais and a less-than-enchanting little snot of a kid who deserves a big kick up the backside – at least at first. I loved the bedclothes and curtains on page 15 – things like that are really difficult to get right – well done, the artist. The back-up strip, Jim Stern, was also good – a foreign legion tale set in a distant land somewhere in the Sahara with a neat twist in the tale. A good value comic buy, I’d say
