Jack is hired by a rival newspaper and marries Deena, but begins to take bribes from producers for good reviews and she divorces him. Jack participates heroically in the war and afterward decides to teach in a small college rather than continue in the newspaper business. Deena gives up her performing career to accompany him. |

| Synopsis | Nell lies because she’s afraid of failure. Nell is jealous when her sister Wilma, who suffers from polio, becomes engaged to handsome lawyer Sam. On the pretext of learning to drive, Nell gets Sam to take her out, but her carelessness causes their car to roll over a cliff. Nell flees, leaving an injured Sam behind. In the hospital, she convinces him to take the blame for the wreck. Sam’s refusal to talk causes Wilma to break up with him. When Nell’s high school boyfriend Jack proposes to her, she confesses everything and clears the air. Sam and Wilma reconcile and Jack marries Nell. |
