Two years later, Bill is an unshaven bum. He tracks Marion down and discovers he has a little daughter. Don is trying to convince Marion to marry him when Bill breaks in, forces Don to admit he caused Bill’s relapse, and reconciles with Marion. |

Out of love for her, Danny agrees. A remorseful Letty changes her mind, but Larry gives Danny doped gumdrops, causing him to lose the fight. Danny dies of his injuries. Letty is accused of poisoning Danny because he wouldn’t take a dive, and will probably go to prison. |
