The 11 text stories included one by "John Barnes" (identified in OldTimer's Notes) and Tulak Hunts the Polar Terror by "Derek Knight". Bibliographer Steve Holland identifies the writer behind both pen-names as Peter O'Donnell, creator of Modesty Blaise. O'Donnell also wrote award-winning gothic romances as "Madeleine Brent".
