Odd trivia: The script for "Riptide" is a knock-off of one of the famous Frazetta romances with a couple of minor changes. The artwork is somewhat less inspiring than the original.
Of course this could have been the original story and the Frazetta was the swipe. I only have the FF in xerox and I'm unsure which story appeared first.

I'm fairly certain that this would have preceded any of Frazetta's romance work, Crash, so this might be the source. For the record, I no longer think that Evans was was a candidate for inking Baily on that story. And do you have any ideas on the other artist in this issue? Always hoping... (|:{>
