| Eeyow! This has some of the most painful artwork I've seen in a romance comic. One notable feature: perhaps the only "ugly girl" comic book story in which the ugly girl is definitely ugly. |

Betsy’s Uncle Jim tells them the story of a young man who found out his girlfriend loved another; in the end all three of them separated, unhappily. After Betsy and Bill leave, Jim finishes the story: he was the first young man, who then told Ruth that she should go after the man she really loved. Ruth was Jim’s girlfriend, and she married his brother: Betsy is their daughter. |
