Flip Falcon in the 4th Dimension Compilation Part 1 - Called "Flick" in the first three issues of Fantastic Comics, I found this strip to be so weird but so intriguing and since it is set in "contemporary" times of the day, I thought I would include it in my Fox comp.'s. Of all of Fox Feature Syndicates Sci-Fi (wild and impossible as it was) I found Flip to be unique in approach and outright inconsistencies fascinating as the series progresses. "Flip" is quite the ladies man..... Stories for Fantastic Comics Issue # 1 through # 11. Scans from CB+ and "Edited" by Mr_Goldenage. I think I know why they changed his name to Flip! I feel lucky to have attended the Joe Kubert School, and one of my classmates created a character for one of his assignments that he wanted to name Flick, but our instructor urged him not to, and the reason why became apparent when we posted our assignments at the front of the room for critique. Comic book lettering most often utilizes all capital letters, and when you look at the word FLICK from a distance, it looks like a completely different word most parents would not want their children exposed to! :D
