Another episode of A Voyage to the Gold Coast (sort of a Riches-to-rags-to-adventure story) by Frank Converse (alas, it started earlier than my collection does), The Fateful Freak of a Storm by WHW Campbell, Don Gordon's Shooting-Box by Harry Castlemon (a West Point story... I think), fun featurettes, and Captain Bess by Willis Boyd Allen (a kids' camping adventure). There is more information about this book at the bottom of the page

An interesting magazine. Rather highfalutin' subhead ("freighted with treasures"?) I noticed all the ads seem to be aimed at adults. Did the advertisers assume the mag would be read to kids by adults, who'd see the ads? Or had they just not yet thought of targeting kids directly?
