Still couldn't open it. Couldn't rate it either. I could download it tho. Glad I did. This has two of the earliest Alex Toth stories I've ever seen.

I have put in a call for help to Mark, I have deleted the first version, and re-upped a slightly tweaked 2nd ver and people are still having probs.

I couldn't open it yesterday, today I can. I wonder if some child eagerly got "Lots ' Fun" comics and then was disappointed to discover it was full of... religious stories!? Perhaps the publisher's definition of "fun" was different than most people's.

Mark Fixed it. The problem was the double quotes ( "O" ), once it was changed to 'O', all was well

One of the most oddly named comics ever...

The cover promises kids "An hour of laughs", but they really get saints, martyrs, a hanging, and a burning at the stake! Oh my.... Cheers, Bowers

Yes, the cover is misleading. But the file name does say Catholic Pictorial 1. Would never have recognized Alex Toth.

Think I'll sit down and read "Lots 'O' Fun" comics while I eat a Bit-O-Honey candy bar. Then I'll go down to the arcade and play Whack-A-Mole.

This has got to be the most disappointing comic on this site. If somebody had given me this as a kid I would never trust them again! I think that big O is actually a ZERO.

Given the ads for the Spartus Camera and the Hopalong Cassidy pocket knife, I'd guess some publisher bought/inherited/found in a dustbin a stack of Catholic Pictorial insides and slapped a cover on them (after selling a couple of ads). But another possibility occurs to me. Given the 5-cent sales price and the super-generic cover, might some less than scrupulous distributor have printed a slew of these covers and wrapped them around unsold returned comics which were supposed to have been destroyed? It'd be less obvious than selling comics with stripped titles. More effort involved, though, in putting on new covers.

If somebody eventually made money out of these, I curious as to how. They obviously weren't distributed, FSOR. [Full sale or return]
