Absolutely marvellous – I can’t thank Paw and Wiseman enough for putting these together –such dedication. There’s so much detail that embeds the story in its time and brings the locality to life – the background shots of Calcutta, Nautch dancers, Naga tribesmen and early fax machines. Let’s not forget also that by this point, many Indians favoured looking east rather than west and the British were none too popular.
A typical evenly-paced story (I mean that as a compliment – slow build, lots of tension) from two geniuses of the field.
By the way, I never knew that some monkeys bury their dead, so I looked it up and discovered that spy monkeys do – exactly the monkeys drawn in the script. I can only guess that Monk or Freeman served in India and were writing from experience?
