In the splash panel I thought the letterer had inadvertently turned a caption into a balloon so that Joan is saying "I've enjoyed my holiday, Joan thought." But this peculiar practice continues throughout the story. Instead of thought balloons we see a rectangular caption with a pointer to Joan. Weird. I've never seen this one before.

Synopsis
