I'm Australian, We play Cricket, not Baseball, at a national level. We do have social baseball clubs, but Baseball is way down the list of sports. [Although, I'm told the standard of our equivalent of 'Little League' is high enough for scouts from the US to keep their eyes on the players.]
And yet, Due to TV and Movies, the team the Yankees and the names Casey Stengel, Joe Dimaggio, Yogi Berra, and Mickey Mantle are all well-known to me.
