According to this page (https:www.madeinchicagomuseum.com/single-post/chicago-mail-order-co/) the Chicago Mail Order Company subsequently changed its name to "Aldens," which ties in with the "Jack and Judy Alden" characters. Also, the inside back cover, which shows the CMO order fulfillment process, pictures those "lucky" order fillers who "have to skate to get around fast" in the warehouse. Shades of Amazon.

The first story page has a banner at the bottom reading "Compliments of the Chicago Mail Order Company".
