NotesHOODED RIDER 28 was published by Action Comics in April 1954 (estimated). It contained two features: THE HOODED RIDER by Len Lawson, and ROGER FARR by Cliff Barr. Lawson’s earlier creation, the Lone Avenger, had proven very popular, and he was asked to create another Western character. The Hooded Rider was the result. This character looks a lot more like a conventional American superhero than a wild west gunfighter. After Lawson had committed his crimes and been imprisoned, the Hooded Rider ran until all of Lawson’s completed work was printed, and the comic was cancelled. Lawson’s signature was removed from the last few issues. The other feature, Roger Farr, appeared in a range of titles from this publisher: the Crimson Comet, the Hooded Rider and Tim Valour.
