| Notes | TEX MORTON’S WILD WEST COMIC volume 2 #9 is an anthology comic based on the New Zealand and Australian country and western musician, Tex Morton. It was published by Allied Authors and Artists in April 1950 (estimated). This publication includes both comics and prose, and fact and fiction. The comics include TEX MORTON by Dan Russell, ALFIE THE JACKEROO by Lex Dixon (Dix), and BUNNY ALLEN by Keith Chatto. The prose incudes two adventure stories, a poem, some information about desert droving and Aboriginal place names, and Tex Morton Fan Club information and business. The scanned comic required a little more scanning navigation than usual, due to some wonky stapling (you can see how the cover and the body of the comic don’t line up properly from the cover scan) but hopefully that’s largely unnoticeable to the reader. | |||
