Comic StoryIdol of the Aztec's [sic] (22 pages)
SynopsisReptisaurus and his mate fly towards Central America. A remnant tribe of the Aztecs called the Nahuatl have been living underground for centuries. They see Reptisaurus and thinks it's their deity Quetzalcoatl (mistakenly referred to as Quetzatacl). They believe it is a sign that will allow their Aztec Empire to be reborn. They offer an American woman they captured as a human sacrifice, but Reptisaurus isn't interested and destroys their temple causing them to flee back underground. Reptisaurus then returns to his slumbering mate.

NotesStory follows Reptisaurus #8 (December 1962), the last issue of the character's ongoing series. Prior to this Reptisaurus appeared in Gorgo #12 (April 1963), but it featured an earlier depiction of the character as a winged serpent and not the dragon-like creature he had evolved into as this point. This would be the last appearance of Reptisaurus.
