This issue of Rocket Kelly is actually a no-number issue, a sort of tryout for this title in 1944. Rocket Kelly number 1 is a separate issue and came out in the Fall of 1945, according to GCD. The 1945 number 1 has not yet been uploaded to this site. So therefore there are 6 issues of this title available, not 5. |

Comic Story | Doors of Death (10 pages) |
Synopsis | Alien Indus is causing the level of Earth's oceans to rise. Rocket, Sue and Punchy fly to the home planetoid of the villain and foil his plan for conquest. |
Featuring | Rocket Kelly |
Credits | Script:? [as Ted Small] | Pencils: Arnold Hicks | Inks: Arnold Hicks |
Content | Genre: Science Fiction | Characters: Rocket Kelly; Sue; Punchy; Indus (villain) |
Notes | Rocket's sidekick's name seems to have been changed after the fact to "Punchy" (from "Whacky" in previous stories), as there is clear evidence of a paste-up on page 3. On page 7 he's called Whacky again, and by page 10 he's back to Punchy. |

They survive and return to confront Diablo. Rocket and Diablo fight and Diablo falls into space and vanishes. |

Notes | Although previous indexers credit Arnold Hicks with art on the first story in this issue and this one, the artwork appears rather different (compare Punchy in this story with Whacky/Punchy in the first story). |
