Synopsis | Marge was from the wrong side of the tracks and wealthy Sally Croft would never let her forget it. One day Alan Grafton, a wealthy school mate, offered to drive Marge home. They dated but always went out to remote places. Marge was furious when she learned that Alan asked Sally to the dance because his parents expected him to date someone in her class. They married, but Alan continued to hide the truth from his parents. When Marge became pregnant they discovered the truth and disowned their son. Dropping out of school Marge realized her baby would soon be born unwanted by the father. |

Disgraced, Janet prepared to leave town but Tom arrived at the train station telling her that after graduation they would marry. |

Synopsis | Tex Adams was the big man on campus. He was captain of the football and basketball team and Betty was Tex Adams' girl. But Tex had big dreams of being the foreman of the factory. That fall, Kurt Wachen transferred to the school from Germany. Slowly, Betty learned that Kurt had been in a concentration camp and when he tells her that he has never danced, she offers to teach him. During the lesson, Tex shows up and becomes very jealous and abusive. Shocked when Tex storms out, she turns to Kurt who suddenly kisses her and tells her he loves her. The actions of both men confuse her, but it is Tex she loves. Or is it? Going to Tex, he tells Betty he has just given Kurt a black eye. Enraged, Betty screams that she realizes Tex thinks he can win by bullying, force and ridicule. She runs to Kurt asking that he forgive her, and he says that he already has. |
