The first story is an uncredited adaptation of BREWSTER'S MILLIONS, a 1902 novel that has (per Wikipedia) been made into a movie seven times, from 1914 to 1995, with Fatty Arbuckle and Richard Pryor, among others. It was even the plot of a Jimmy Olsen comic tale, "Olsen's Millions." I don't know how the originals come out, but it seems to me that this is the first one that became a crime plot, so props for some originality!
