Baldy Bean bears a striking resemblance to Doiby Dickles, the sidekick of Golden Age Green Lantern / Alan Scott. For that matter, The Wizard's outfit resembles Green Lantern's. Hmmm. That's why The Wizard is going to be my Green Lantern analogue for my public domain comics project.

'Impossible Man' here is definitely Charles Voight. So that makes two Charles Voight stories here.
   By
@Black Owl Interesting how Gil Kane went from drawing an Alan Scott analogue to co-creating Hal Jordan about 15 years later.
   By
Rural Home issued a Captain Wizard one-shot (CB+ has it). In that one he was a ringer for MLJ's The Wizard, only with a red costume.

NotesGary Watson (March 2008) believes the art is by George Marcoux, but the art is consistent with Voight’s signed work from Picture News #2 (February 1946), including how he draws faces, the “J” inside the ears, and his general usage of wispy lines. Terry Beatty (February 2009) and Jerry Bails' Who's Who also indicate Charles Voight.
