| Synopsis | Gorgo gets caught by Chinese fishermen in their nets. His mother sinks the ship freeing him but the survivors talk about how there is a dragon in the sea. The red Chinese and their Soviet allies are afraid that this will cause an uprising among the peasents. They try to kill Gorgo with poisoned shark carcasses but his mother stops him. She also saves him from a huge intake valve that she gets trapped in. Gorgo goes berserk and attacks the mainland. The peasents rally against their communist overlords as Gorgo's mother frees herself, helps Gorgo destroy much of the reds facilities, and leaves. |

| Notes | When Gorgo's mother gets her claw stuck in the valve and bleeds, the blood attracts 30 foot great white sharks that Gorgo fights off to save his helpless mother. This issue was published just after Gorgo #9 (October 1962) as it features a flashback to that issue leading into this issues story. This spinoff series was renamed The Return of Gorgo with #2 which was published Summer 1963. |

| Synopsis | Dr. Felix Reed is convinced that Atlantis existed in what is now the Great Basin Desert. While doing research he accidently revives a hive of gigantic Atlantian bees. The bees run amok looking for food. One attacks the Eiffel Tower, one attacks a rancher, while others engage in aerial battles with fighter jets. Reed suggests that the bees should be left alone as they will die of starvation. Without gigantic floral from the Atlantian era to sustain them, the bees die out. |
