The Owl... I just love these costumes from the golden age of comics. I can't imagine how Hollywood today would butcher such a look. I really love that I can't take the time machine back to when it was fun to be super.

NotesCopyright 1941 by Walter Lantz.

This is the first appearance of Andy Panda, as well as the first appearance of a Walter Lantz character, in comic books. Andy Panda will also appear in the following issue of Crackajack Funnies (#40), before moving to The Funnies (Dell, 1936 series) with its issue #61.

Of the seven features mentioned on the cover of this issue, Andy Panda is not one of them, making for a low-key and inauspicious debut.
