The Shock Gibson story is amazing. Really takes a left turn there. |
Munson Paddock (Smoke Carter) deserves to a book made of his work. There's nothing like him! |
oh my gawd shock gibson is hilarious love his headgear etc do lions really say grarf ??? lol |
If it had just been the Shock Gibso story, I would have rated the book a 9. I also liked Biff Bannon the marine.
However, When Smoke Carter - a firefighter - casually carries and uses a gun and has policemen dropping bombs on suspected criminals - Well. I think that stretches the credibility of even an 1940's reader.
Also there is Ted Parrish of a thousand faces Where does he carry all the extra outfits? Where is his makeup kit? |
