Excellent Heroics #52 features my Dad , Patrolman Edward Lamb. Brought back so many memries. I have the original but it is so worn that it is falling apart. I am so thankful for this site. I now can share with my grandchildren. |

Synopsis | Portuguese East Africa explorer and hunter Harry Manners, his safari members, and his young native tribal guide Ben, set out on a safari to shoot elephants for their ivory tusks. But Ben warns Manners that this will be their last safari together, though the wily hunter doesn't believe it as he downs his first elephant. However, when they come upon a giant bull elephant, even the best shots of the hunter can not bring the beast down and the chase is on.....a chase which eventually leads not only to the beast's death, but also Ben's. |

For his efforts, a bill was introduced in Congress awarding medals to children for efforts of heroism, and Tommy received the first Young American Medal of Honor. |
