When Roberta is unjustly arrested for theft, Jerry intervenes and says he'll marry her to keep her out of prison.

Beth becomes engaged to Larry, which upsets Peggy. Peggy tells Larry she saw George kissing Beth. They break up. Beth clears Peggy of a theft charge at school, and Peggy apologizes for telling Larry that Beth was unfaithful. Peggy reunites Larry and Beth.
