When I was a kid in the '60s, I had a buddy whose mother was from England. His grandmother was still there, and she would send hom English comic books, which he would give to me after he'd read them. I always liked Billy Bunter, with his peculiar (to a Yank like me) slang, and I loved the cartoony artwork. This sample is different, there wasn't captioning underneath the art in the '60s, but the artwork is EXACTLY the same. Too bad there weren't any credits, as I believe the same artist (and I suspect the artist also wrote the strip, the humor was the same, too) was on Bunter for a LONG time! Just loved seeing him again after all these years!

It's been some time since your comment, but the artist on "Billy Bunter" was Frank Minnitt. He also wrote the scripts.
