One can but wonder if Charles Shows, who wrote many scripts for "Bozo the Clown" and "Ruff and Reddy" cartoons, had a chance to see these.
Both Wolverton and Shows had a liking for rhyming dialogue, done for comic effect.
Here, Wolverton, a writer and artist of great talent, shows the influence of Tex Avery, whose cartoons were convulsing audiences who went to M-G-M movies.
