This comic would be remarkable for the bizarre and beautiful Basil Wolverton Space Patrol story along. But there is much more, including the odd and charming Fantasy Isle; a well-written if far-fetched crime story and Bill and Davey, which is bit reminiscent of Tintin. There's also a story starring Speed Centaur, surely one of the oddest superheroes ever created. The cover feature, Fantom of the Fair, is actually about the weakest story, but just the idea of a crimefighter at the 1939 World's Fair is charming.
