I was born in Spain in 1943 and started reading comics in 1946, yes, I was 3 when I learned to read. I came to America in 1956 and by 1957 I was reading American comics but never lost my love for the Spanish ones but was never able to see any of them until I went back on vacation in 1975. In 1986 I went back to Spain for 7 years but by then, the only comics there were the American comics in Spanish, the Spanish comics were no longer being sold. I came back in 1993 and found out via the internet, that in Spain the were printing facsimiles of the old Spanish comics (called tebeos) and I begun to acquire some of the collections I had read as a young boy.
