"Booze, Bullets, and Blood" is particularly brutal. The first panel of the last page has "Gutwirth's Fish Market" in a store window. Did Maurice Gutwirth ink or perhaps pencil and ink the art? |

Good retro comic! Like the notion of the guy getting hanged instead of the electric chair or an injection. Seems like a lot of women get married in these old comics "without really knowing their man" as they usually say as he beats her to death. At least the Blood and Mayhem girl has the sense to walk out the first time he slugs her, even though he does shoot her when she leaves. |
