Apparently there was a name change to this title. The date follows exactly after issue #5 in the Gerald before Magoo named series. I guess Magoo was a bit more recognizable. So the series is a complete run #1 to 6. At least it will appear that way in my archives along with a brief note much like this one justifying my speculation.

Archive46 is right; however this book is presently listed with the 1963 series instead of the 1952-53 Gerald/Magoo series where it belongs.

9 years later, and this book is STILL archived in the wrong series. As the 2 previous comments state, THIS book, Mr. Magoo and Gerald McBoing-Boing belongs in Dell's almost 10 years earlier series, "Gerald McBoing-Boing and The Nearsighted Mr. Magoo (which were both UPA Studios' properties). The second series started in 1961, 8 years after the first series, and 6 years after it ended.

But also back in the day comments did not appear on the forum (thanks Narfstar for that) suggestion.
So were lost in the ether .. after a decade or so the book is now in the right place. Hooray!
