Joe Certa took time out from drawing the Martian Manhunter for DC to do this and the next Dondi comic.

Clicked on this one because 'Dondi' was one of, if not the best, early new york subway graffiti artists. Wanted to see if there was any connection / if this is where he got his name from, and sure enough he painted this character on the trains. Mind blown. Love this website. Rest in peace: Donald Joseph White, "DONDI" April 7, 1961 – October 2, 1998.

No month is given on the cover or in the indicia. Based on the copyright dates of this issue and others in the series released around the same time, one can determine that this issue was published with other Four Color issues bearing a "January-March 1961" cover date.

On sale date is Library of Congress copyright record publication date.

The comic has two versions of 36 pages with different inside cover contents. One contains photo stories on the Dondi movie, another with a two page Joe Certa story.
