You wouldn't think that Toth would be as good on comedy as he is on these things. It's nice.

This is a book I would never have picked up on the stands as a kid. Makes me wonder what audience it was aimed at. But I would have missed out on some excellent Alex Toth work.

I agree that the Toth art is worth the price of admission, even if Danny Thomas (a) doesn't look much like Danny Thomas, and (b) is portrayed as an irascible blowhard. I'm sure I watched this program as a child but I have no particular memory of it other than vaguely recalling Hans Conried as Uncle Tonoose.
